Saraswati Daya
(Blessing) is primary and important for everyone’s life. Shankaracharya
mentions the importance of Sarada Devi in everyone’s life. After Her
Lakshmi Kataksham (Boon) is needed. For Lalitha - Right side Saraswati and Left
side Lakshmi will be there. Lakshmi without Saraswati is dangerous. There will
be no situation of existence of Saraswati without Lakshmi.

Kambhan at Chola king got some
differences with the King, left Chola kingdom and went to Chera King. He said
that he is assistant of Kambhan, rather to tell the differences with Chola.
Over a period of time, he became nearer to the new king. Some people in the court
felt envy of this close relationship and told the king that he is not Kambhan’s
assistant, infact the younger brother of a barber in the same Chera kingdom and
he bluffed to the king. They told him that the brothers divided the property exactly
equal among themselves. Then King ordered for enquiry. Before the prosecution day
– Kambhan prayed to Saraswati and requested Her to give Her leg manjiram
(Silver ornament). She gave without any question. Next day he went to the
court. He presented the manjiram and told that if they have divided the valuable
property equally, the barber should present the other manjiram. Then the barber
got afraid, surrendered, accepted his lie. When the King demanded the truth, Kambhan
told that the manjiram was given by Saraswati. Then King wondered if Saraswati
is now with single manjiram and wanted to see Her and asked him to call Her. He
prayed (Saraswati Andhadhi 30 slokas) praising Her and She came with
single manjiram. She asked him to wear Her with the second one as well. He did
and then She walked making sound, disappeared. Thus because of one devotee –
rest also had the darshan of Saraswati. His Kambhan Ramayanam is very famous in
Tamil.

Mooka Shankaraulu got
voice from Kanchi Kamakshi, wrote mooka pancha sathi 500 slokas. Kali Das
(Sarva Mangala Wife) – blessed by Kali with Beejaksras. He became court poet to
Bhoja Raju. Once pundits wanted to separate Bhoja and Kali. They told king that
Kalidas is eating fishes. King asked them to bring him. Kalidas came to know
this and he intentionally bought fishes, the pundits caught hold of him and
paraded before Bhoja. He also suspected and asked series of questions for which
Kali Das replied. It is a Book, leaking with sweet literature, the smell of
Rama – Ravana war dust is coming, it is Ramayanam, written on Talapatra. Infact
when Bhoja wanted to see and opened the bag carrying the fish, it became
Talapatra book. That is the power of Saraswati blessed people.

Devi Bhaghavatham –Story of
Satyavratha. Once upon a time there was a vedic scholar by name Deva Datha. He
did the Yagnam for children purpose and during the Yagnam he pinpointed a
mistake of a maharshi and the maharshi got angry cursed him, because of which
he got blessed with a Son – Uthathsyudu – who is like a fool with no proper
education and no intelligence. Uthathsyudu felt ashamed for his fate and left
ashram to a forest and leading a sacred life there. He Kept a tapassu of
telling Truth only and controlling Indriyas. Slowly people started calling him
as Sathyavratha. One day suddenly Ai beejam came without Bindu from his
mouth – spontaneously/unintentionally - to save a forest pig from the arrow of
a hunter. The hunter came in search of the pig. Wherever truth leads to
violence it is untruth only, if untruth saves life – then it is truth only. But
Satyavratham gets impacted. He instantly says “What sees cannot speak, what
speaks cannot see. (Amma gave this kind instigation).” He told the same to the
hunter and he got confused and left the place leaving the pig unharmed. He
(Sathyavratha) became gnaani automatically without any guru. All sages started
respecting including Vyasa. Thus, Vaghbhavakutami is – Gnaana Shakthi i.e., Saraswathi.

Bammera Pothana. He
has written praying 11 Saraswati mantras in which there are 11 Dhyana slokas.
He wrote “Sarada neeradendu Gana Sara…”. She is like Sarath Kala moon white in
colour, She wears Tadiya moon (Siva i.e, Chandramouleeswara, Kamakshi, Bala
Tripura Sundari also wear same). Shankara and Saraswati are Brother and
Sisters. Both are white. In right hand She carries Spatika (Crystal) and in left
hand Book. Indicating that amnayam (practice) is more important. Remaining two hands - Abhaya (Blessing) and
Varada (Boon) mudra. One namaskaram is sufficient. Madhu, Ksheera, Draksha
(Honey, Milk, Grape) – mixed vaak (talk) will be given by Her. Honey is good it
gives heat to cold, cold to heat. Milk is easily digestible, for child to
Sanyasi it is primary food. Draksha is simple fruit, no thick skin. Misutilizing
Vagdevi power is resorting to – Kayyam (Quarrel), Vithandam (trying to prove
bad as good). Another four hands of Sarada are like Lalitha Devi weapons –
Ankusam (Goad), Pushpa Banas (Flower arrows), Cheraku villi (Sugar cane),
Paasam (Cord). Bhaghavan is Purusha/Nayaka (Male) and devotee considers himself
as Stri/Nayika (Female).

Kalameghan (Varadan)–
Cook at Jambukeswaran a Vaishnavaite, wanted to marry his assistant. But she is
Saivite. Hence, she demanded him to learn those books. He started learning. In
that temple none dares to provide prasadams in male attire, priests also wear
saree and do. One day Varadan sat and when Goddess came, he was unable to stand
up as he was fat. She put Tambulam pidacha (Betel gulp) in his mouth. He
started chanting in praise of her in poetry like black cloud.

Sarada is in Guru Mandala rupini. She protects
Bharath and provides vaibhavam (glory) to Bharath because of Gurus due to
Saraswathi blessing. She is Dakshinamurthy rupini.
Shankaracharya
·
Once 72 Avydhikas started. Then Kailasa
Shankara born as Kaladu Shankara to Siva Guruvu and Aryamba. They
went to Trisuru kshetra and did Bhajana there to Siva Linga. There age-old ghee
will be there. Even the lamps there will not melt it. Siva Guru got blessed
with Shankaracharya. Generally, avatharas are only for Vishnu, but rare for
Siva. Like Vishnu who killed demons, Siva came to kill the demon qualities of
human. Like Dakshnia murthy who taught without opening any lip to Sanaka
Sadananda, Shankara taught to the human-kind - but taught by speaking.
Originally, He has to be here only for 8 years, but lived for 32 years.
Difference between Shiva and Shankara – 1) Jata Juta and Bald, 2) White cloth
and Saffron, 3) Snakes ornaments – Only Rudraksha, 4) Rich and poor, 5) Ardha
nareeswara – just single, 6) Dakshinamurthy – Utsava Vigraha, 6) Siva can be
Ugrah (angry) and Bhimah (large) - Shankara is Peaceful in Bhodha (Teaching),
7) Siva has Black Spot, Shankara – No Spot. 8) Vinayaka is always with Siva –
No Vinayaka with Shankara (Indirectly saying decaying Budhism as another name
for Budha is Vinayaka). Shankara
established – 1) In East – Jagannatham - Govardhanam Peetham, 2) West – Dwaraka
– Kalika Peetham, 3) North - Badarika – Jyothi Peetham, 4) South – Sringeri –
Sarada Peetham. He wrote Bhashyam for Prasthana Thrayam, Pratha smarami. He
established Mutts. He taught Adhvaitham which holds good even till today
though Visishta advaitham and Dhvaitham came after it. He was born Vysakha
Sukla Panchami – Hence named as Shankara as per Sanskrit. When He took Sanysam
name remained same. Govinda Bhagavad pada, His Guru, did not change as
he knows that He is none other than Siva. Sambhu is producing and Shankara
is distributing, hence it suitably applied (referring to knowledge).

He has named 10 Sanyasasramas of Sampradayas
Giri, Parvatha, Vana, Aranya, Theertha, Sagara, Ashrama, Bharati, Saraswati,
Puri. He has brought Soundarya Lahiri directly from Kailasam from Ammavaru. He
has brought 5 Spatika (Crystal) lingas from Kailasam and established at –
Chidambaram, Sringa Giri, Kanchi, Nepal – Vara Lingam, Mukthi Lingam – Kedar.
Considered Bharath as Yagna sala.

Saraswati came as Mandana Mishra’s wife. She
was ready to go back to Sathya Loka when Mandan became Sanyasi after being
defeated by Shankara. He stopped Her by chanting Vana Durga Stotra. She
said She will be only and said She will follow Him, but will settle when He
turns back. They reached to Karnataka, Tunga river. Shankara realized that it
is the sacred place and it is the place where Rishyasringa Maharshi did Tapassu.
He did not hear Her sound (as she is walking in Tunga river). He turned back
intentionally. Saraswathi settled there. He made Sureshacharyulu (Mandan) –as
Peethadhi pathi. A proper Pratima installed by Vidyaranya swamy later.

Vruddha Nrisimha
Bharati, one of the Jagadguru– ate only Sakas (vegetables, most of the times
bitter guards) for 42 years – He used to do anushtanam for 20 hours. He mostly never slept. Once he went to
Bengaluru. Bowring Dora (Commissioner) wanted to test him. Between 1 and 2
midnight he went suddenly, ordered to lift the curtain of the Bharati’s private
puja area. He saw Him doing Bilwa (Bael) Puja to Siva Linga. Thus, realized
that his doubt is foolish and how Bharati is dedicated to Siva. Once a
Gujarathi devotee offered him a Bungalow on their visit, as a guest house to
stay where in a Brahma Rakshasa was living (A wicked Brahmin). The devotee did
not reveal that. Bharati was doing puja and the Rakshasa came in duplicate
disciple form. Bharati could recognize, He chanted mantra, poured water on him.
He ran away and jumped in to a well. Only cloths were visible and the Bungalow
got relieved of the Rakshasa forever. Once he went to Madhurai and doing Puja
inside the Meenakshi temple. Priests were unhappy that he was doing puja
directly. He asked his sishya to bring a coconut. He did attract all powers of Amma into
coconut, thus making the statue as dull. As priests surrendered to him, he
restored the glory back.

Once Vruddha Nrisimha Bharati went to
Rameswaram, he wanted to take bath himself in Koti theertham. But the priests
there did not allow, nor by his assistants. They said they only will pour
water. So, he went to sarva theertham and took bath there. He made that Koti
theertham power comes over to Sarva theertham. The priests at Koti started
repenting and surrendered to him at Sringeri. So, he went to Rameswaram all the
way again, took water from Sarva theertham in his kamandalam, poured in Koti
theertham, made it again flourish.

Once he wanted to visit Gokarna, at the age of
82, towards the end. He asked to arrange for Palanquin. His assistants delayed.
One day He just said “Oh Gokarna priests come”. Then “Sringeri Palanquin Boyas
(Boys) are very strong, can carry me to Gokarna very quickly”. Then said “I
have to rush back to Sringeri cannot stay any more at Gokarna”. The next day He
attained parama Gati. That day Gokarna temple trust told that he got a dream in
which he saw Bharati coming and doing abhishekam to Mahabaleswar, then telling
him that he cannot stay any more and need to rush back to Sringeri. Thus, Nrisimha
Bharati has fulfilled his Gokarna Darshan with Mano Vegam.

Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha
Bharati is aged 9 years when he became Shankaracharya. His Original
name is Siva swamy. S/O Ramaswamy and Lakshmamma. First son Narasimha sastry. Second
son Yagna Narayana sastry, 3rd is daughter. As his father died and 2nd
brother also died, eldest brother looked after him. Vruddha Nrisimha Bharati
wanted to give him the uthara peetham. But eldest brother is not interested.
Mysore Maharaja pressurized him to accept. That day Siva swamy had severe
headache. The process includes Presha Mantra chanting, Sanyasa deeksha, Yoga
Patta, Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati naming. The boy tired and
slept. He murmured Sarvoham thrice. He respected guru always. When he
cried for his Guru’s parama gati, Vruddha Bharati came making sound of padukas,
made gnanodayam to Sacchidananda “How many more days you want me to be in this
body? Be aware. Take my Padukas. Continue to do puja”

Once Sacchidananda took the permission of
Sarada to reach to Adi Shankaracharya original Anushtana place, which was in
Travancore. On the way he took rest in Permbadur (Kerala) – got dream in which
a traditional widow appeared and invited him to reach her. Later he realized
that she is none other than Aryamba (mother of Adi Shankaracharya). In memory
of her Bharati established Samadhi under a tree in the same place of Kaladi,
the birth place of Adi Shankara.

Sacchidananda is 27th peetadipathi.
Poornayya is the administrator of Mysore. He had grudge against peethadipathi.
He wanted to conduct arguments between Him and pundits. Then Bharati asked them
to put a curtain between them. The arguments going on. Bharati alone is
defeating the entire pundits and Poornayya noticed that his voice is sounding
like woman voice. So, pretending un-intentional – he lifted slightly the
curtain, astonished to notice Sarada Devi sitting there in the Bharati place.
That’s why even now Bharati’s wear Golden ornaments and sit on the throne as
Saraswathi in important festivals. Sacchidananda Bharati felt once that
Ganapathi should be there, he made Turmeric Ganapathi in a pillar and went
inside. Later when he came out, Ganapathi statute came out of it. It is called Stambha
(Pillar) Ganapathi.

Even today before accepting Shankaracharya
peetha – they keep two Bilwa Patras (Bael Leaves) on the two hands on
Saraswati. If it falls from the right hand, it is considered as a blessing. Chandrasekhara
Bharati being selected by Sacchidananda Bharati in similar way. At times
something will be written. In this case it was written that he should do yatra.
If fallen from left hand will not be selected.

By the time the next successor Chandrasekhara
Bharati came to take over the reins of Sringeri – Sacchidananda attained
Paramagathi. Before him 11 siblings born and died. His parents came to Sringeri
and got blessings of Sacchidananda and went to Go Karna. Thus, he was born.

Once a cobra came when Chandrasekhara was doing
Puja for Chandramouleeswara. When devotees were afraid and were running
away, he asked them to stay-put. He poured some milk in vessel and offered to
it. It drank and looked towards him, bowed, gone back silently unhurting
anyone. Whatever be the temperature he used to do puja for hours together in
severe hot summer without suffocation while his disciples used to suffer.

Once Kamalamma with his Son Viswa came to
Sringeri, though her husband told not to take the son. He became suddenly
bluish. She looked towards the poster of Chandrasekhara as if only saviour.
Then the boy started crying and became normal. She rushed to Nrisimha vanam
and took the blessings of Bharati. He told her not to worry of the Child and
also not to move without the permission of Husband.

His sishya is Abhinava Vidyatirtha. He
is a living example of Sarada putra. Many people get vaak from his presence.
His sishya Bharati Tirtha. First time when he entered in TN, the locals
forced him to speak in Tamil. The organizers told them that He will speak in
Sanskrit as it is Sringeri Mutt or in Kannada because it is in Karnataka state
– if they do not like it, he will speak in Telugu as it is his mother tongue.
But they forced that it should be in Tamil. They conveyed the same to Bharti.
He told them that Sarada will take care and he will speak in Tamil that
evening. Organizers are worried as the prestige of Sringeri Mutt will be at
stake. That evening the Tamil speech given by Him was the supreme and even the
best of Tamil pundits got astonished. When the mutt organizers asked him, how
he could speak – He told them that it is not He, but Sarada Devi who
spoke.

His father - Tangirala Venkateswara Avadhani,
mother – Anantha Lakshmamma. Hanuma gave her three fruits in her dream as a
symbol to indicate that she is going to deliver a great person who is going to
be beyond Jagaruth, Nidra, Swapna and will be in Turiya. He studied in
Narasarao pet school. He is born Dakshinamurthy. He selected Vidyaranya as Guru
and asked him (at Sipra, MP) to taught Tarka sastra. He kept him in cave. Early
morning 4’0 clock he has to woke up. He is walking Saraswati. All these Jagadgurus
are male Saraswatis.

Saraswati not only provides gnaanam, she
provides sakthi and kills demons. She wears peetambaram to give money, Red to
give Sakthi, white to give gnaanam. She is also Sakambari. Vara veena …may
sound as Saraswati prayer, but it is a prayer meaning for all the three
Goddesses – it gives meaning for all three separately – thus indicating Sarada
is Saraswati, Lakshmi, Parvati.

Chandramouleeswara Lingam is Nithya Abhisheka
lingam. Siva Lingam is Arupa rupi. Face is Agni, Gati (Movement) is Kalam
(Time), Padam (Foot) is Bhumi (Earth), Breath is Vayuvu, Tongue is Water. He is
stanuhu (like pillar)– completely occupied. Bhava (Water Head), Hara (Layam),
Mruda (Stithi – Vishnu tatvam) – these three are mainly important names.
Laya 3 types – 1) Nidra - Sleep (Night time should sleep by chanting
Siva 11 times, Early morning woke up chanting Sri Hari, Sri Hari.) 2)
Athyanthika Pralayam – Removing of agnaanam. Both Shankara and Sarada give
gnaanam. 3) Maha Pralayam – If we could not attain, He himself will take
us into Him as part of Maha Pralayam, withdraws and re-creates once the new
creation starts.
· Sarada provides knowledge in three ways – 1) Kukkuta deeksha – (Kamakshi rupa). Like hen sits on the egg, Amma sits on the head of devotee. Or passes Leg toe-to-Leg-Toe through thread. Ramananda swamy once touched in the dark the head of Kabir with his leg unknowingly. Kabir wanted this intentionally, as he is Muslim and not sure he will take him as his disciple. Then he uttered Rama Rama. Kabir took that itself as blessing/Mantra and deeksha. 2) Nayana Deeksha – through eyes. Ramana Maharshi did like this to Paul Brunton, Samardha Ram Das to Sivaji Maharaj. Fish looks after its eggs, makes it deliver, looks after them, grows them – this is called Meenakshi deeksha. 3) Smarana Deeksha – Guru and Sishya will not be in the same place. In Guru’s heart Sishya will be there. If Sishya does service in such a way that, Guru will be remembering him always like son, then he automatically blesses him. Like tortoise puts eggs (Kamata Deeksha) under Sand, forgets where it has put, then does smarana to evolve from wherever. Visalakshi Deeksha (rotates eyes all over Brahmandam) – blesses like Guru Mandala Sarada.
