Sri Lakshmi Sahasra Nama Vaibhavam

Sri Lakshmi Sahasra Nama Stotram widely lists out the Vaibhavam of Maha Lakshmi. In this Goddess Lakshmi is praised in two forms. One as Adya Lakshmi or Jaganmata or Jagadamba – where in Maha Lakshmi is considered as Supreme Lord. All Tri-murtis, Durga, Lakshmi, Sarasawati are considered as her rupas/forms only. Another as most of us know Consort of Vishnu’s Devi i.e. Lakshmi Devi.

 

Here tried to list out both forms, mostly the 2^nd form of naamas to give the specific praising of Vishnu’s Maha Lakshmi, though many naamas are chanted in the whole stotram as Saraswati, Durga, Shiva, Brahma and many others

 

Sri Lakshmi Sahasra Nama Stotra is in Skanda puranam as part of Sanathkumara Samhita mantra raasi. Sanathkumara is Brahma’s manasa putra equivalent to Subrahmanya swamy.

 

Garga gothra saints requested Sanathkumara to give them a Stotram which gives Bhukti (Bhogam) and mukti, which has Loukika karma vihitha, Sradha and Saastra viswasam, which should enable prosperity dhanam (dhanyatha i.e. what provides when needed) It has 1008 names.

 

SLSNS is to be done like Japam – If it is mantram it will be read. Sanathkumar is above Narada He is Brahmavetha as He has 3 qualities Sarvagnathvam, Bhagavan, Dayanidhi.

 

It is also called Daaridrya Dwamsini stotram. Not only it should eradicate daaridryam i.e poverty, it should give Brahma vidya also, it should be mruthyu vinasini (deergha ayuvu – healthy).

 

This is parampara vidya and no fixed writer. This came from Prameswara. Ananda, Kardama (Prithvi+Jala thatva – moist), Chikleeta (Ardhra quality - wet) - these 3 saints considered as sons of Lakshmi – Manmadha qualities and Manassu feelings. They have given this mantra. By Lakshmi’s grace Trimurtis, Indra and other Gods prayed this.

 

Some of important naamas (around total 250+) are listed below. These are all unique and specific to Her

The first sloka of the stotram.

 

·         నిత్యాగతానంతనిత్యా నందినీ జనరంజనీ |

·         నిత్యప్రకాశినీ చైవ స్వప్రకాశస్వరూపిణీ ‖ 1 ‖

1. ఓం నిత్యాగతాయై నమః | - Always existing/Always coming/Every time /Everywhere  

2. ఓం అనంతనిత్యాయై నమః | - One who always with Anantha. She herself is Anantha and eternal.

3. ఓం నందిన్యై నమః | - Makes Happy. Brahmanandam. Kamadhenuvu.  Ganga river.   

4. ఓం జనరంజన్యై నమః | - Making happy through world ruling. Includes all living things.

5. ఓం నిత్యప్రకాశిన్యై నమః | - Always in brightness.

6. ఓం స్వప్రకాశస్వరూపిణ్యై నమః | - With Self brightness.

·         పద్మనాభప్రియాం దేవీం – Liked by Padmanabha

·         పద్మాక్షీం - Eyes like Lotus

·         పద్మవాసినీమ్ - seated in Lotus,

·         సర్వజననీం – Mother of all.   

·         విష్ణువక్షస్స్థలాలయామ్ – Residing in Narayana’s chest,

7. ఓం వైష్ణవ్యై నమః | - Vishnu sakthi. Viswa vyapakam.

8. ఓం వటుకాస్థితాయై నమః | - In Brahmacharis (after thread ceremony). Like Vamana murthy, Subrahmanya, Ganapathi – like Kumarika suvasini.

9. ఓం మాయాయై నమః | - Vyshnavi Maya. She occupied Jagath through maya. Moola (root) for the viswam. Maya itself obstructing not able to see Her.

10. ఓం సర్వమాయాప్రభంజన్యై నమః | - She herself can throw away Maya to give Moksha (Nirvana). Avidya (Maya) – Vidya (Moksha)

11. ఓం కమలాయై నమః | - Mahalakshmi. Padmam. Lotus. Everyone wants Her forms. Vara Lakshmi.  

12. ఓం కమలాదేవ్యై నమః | - Padmam. Kamam – Beautiful, Happy. Blossomed Complete Soundarya. Shad Kamala Devatha (6 Chakra Devatha).

13. ఓం పద్మాయై నమః | - She who is like a lotus flower. Padima – Group of words in Veda. Veda swarupini.    

14. ఓం పద్మాలయాయై నమః | - She who lives in a lotus flower

15. ఓం పద్మిన్యై నమః | - She who is as pretty as the lotus plant

16. ఓం పద్మవత్యై నమః | - In Lotus pond, seating on lotus, carrying lotuses, Hands, legs, eyes all like lotuses, with Hrudaya lotus – Padmavati. Head of Padmini category woman. Visualize Mahalakshmi.

17. ఓం నారాయణ్యై నమః | - Naram – Jalam. Ayinam – Having seat. For all pranikotis (live being) ashrayam/adharam/dikku (Refuge). No difference with Narayana.

18. ఓం నారసింహ్యై నమః | - Naramasihma rupam.  

19. ఓం లక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - Amma name. For all Lakshyam is Jagadamba.  Health, Ananda, prosperity, Education etc.  Vedas purpose. Dhana, Dhyrya, Santhana, Jaya, Vijaya, Vidya, - Ashta, Shodasa, Anantha Lakshmi.  

20. ఓం గరుడోపరిసంస్థితాయై నమః | - Garuda Vahini. Lakshmi Sametha Vahana.  Vineetha. Veda purusha. Brought Amrutham. Veda Vahana.

21. ఓం శ్రోణివేలాయై నమః | - Lakshmi seating place in Narayana.  Divya, Sroni.  Trikuta kalayika. Kamala seated. Sahasraaram 

22. ఓం సర్వలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - All Lakshmi swarupams. Ashta, Shodasa.  In everyone Lakshmi rupam. Gnaana Lakshmi.

23. ఓం సుపతయే నమః | - Having good husband.

24. ఓం సముద్రవ్యోమమధ్యస్థాయై నమః | - She is in Ocean and Space.  Lakshmi Birth place and Chichakthi.  Badabagni – Vaidyuthagni. Bottom and top – Amma covers Rodasi.

25. ఓం మహాభూతాయై నమః | - Great Bhutha Vishnu. Prani Koti originated from.

26. ఓం విష్ణువక్షోవిభూషిణ్యై నమః | - Amma is in Vishnu’s Chest.  Vishnu’s Samkalpa and Daya sakthi.

27. ఓం హరిసుందర్యై నమః | - She who steals the heart by her beauty. She who is very beautiful to Lord Vishnu

28. ఓం కోలాహలపురస్థితాయై నమః | - She who resides in Kolhapur

29. ఓం విష్ణుచేతనాయై నమః | - She who is the power of Lord VishNu

30. ఓం వైజయంత్యై నమః | - She who wears Vaijayanthi garland of Lord Vishnu

31. ఓం వనమాలాయై నమః | - She who wears garlands made out of wild flowers

32. ఓం చంచత్కౌస్తుభాయై నమః | - She who wears the moving gem KousthubhA

45. ఓం భూపుత్ర్యై నమః | - She who is the daughter of The Earth (as Sita Devi)

46. ఓం కృష్ణాయై నమః | - She who is the wife of Krishna

47. ఓం వరదవల్లభాయై నమః | - She who is the consort of Lord Varada RAja

48. ఓం కోటిబ్రహ్మాదిసంసేవ్యాయై నమః | - She who is served by billions of Brahmas

49. ఓం కోటిరుద్రాదికీర్తితాయై నమః | - She who is sung about by billions of Rudras

50. ఓం భూమినీలాదిసంసేవ్యాయై నమః | - She who is served by The Bhoomi Devi and NeelA Devi

51. ఓం స్వామిచిత్తానువర్తిన్యై నమః | - She who acts according to the wishes of her husband

52. ఓం క్షీరసాగరకన్యకాయై నమః | - She who is the daughter of The Ocean of Milk

54. ఓం స్వతంత్రేచ్ఛాయై నమః | - She who acts independently from her lord

56. ఓం హృల్లేఖాయై నమః | - Mantra swarupam. The letter/script in the heart i.e. Hreem beejam. Ha (Hrudayam) Ra (Tejomayam) Ee (Sakthi) - Sthula, Sushma, Kaarana Bodies.  Hreemkara rupini. Omkaram for Parameswara – Hreemkaram for Parameswari. Hreemkaram, if a plant wire, Amma is like flower.

57. ఓం పరమాయై నమః | - Ultimate highest level. Parabrahma swarupini. Greatest Mother. Mother who gives great situation.

58. ఓం శ్రియై నమః | - Sree Suktha. Sree Devi.  Aiswaryam, Sobha. Asraya sakthi. Traiyee Vidya. Veda Maata.

59. ఓం సౌమ్యలక్షణాయై నమః | - Sowmyata. Prasannata. Soma lakshanam. Moon.  Prasadata, Ardhrata, pleasant, Cool. Sita called Hanuma as Sowmya. Gurus call Sishya Sowmya. Brahma vethas will be Sowmya.  

60. ఓం శ్రద్ధాయై నమః | - Sradha. Viswasam in Saastras. Determination. Positive thought. Pradhama and Pradhana Lakshmi.

61. ఓం కాంత్యై నమః | - Tejassu with Gnaanam.

62. ఓం హిరణ్యవర్ణాయై నమః | - First one in Sree Suktham.  Gold coloured mother. Melting Gold colour. Yellow+Red colour. Morning Sunlight. Those sunrays. Hiranyams. Surya kirana sakthi.  Hitham+Ramyam.  Hi – Ra Vajram + Agni Sakthi. One who removes enemies (internal and external).  Hiranya colour should be represented Aathma Gnaanam, Sun light, Moon light, Sky sound.  Hitamaina i.e. pleasant Akshara rupini. Kanaka Mahalakshmi.

63. ఓం హరిణ్యై నమః | - Sree suktham 1^st line – 2^nd Naamam.  One which swallows paapam. Which destroys darkness, insects, fog. Removes amangalam. Manoharini. One who takes to Vishnu – who provides moksham – mokshini. Golden Lady/Deer – Yagna swarupam. Turmeric (Yellow) colour Amma. Green Colour Rupam (Trees etc). Patra haritham. Gardens, fields.

64. ఓం త్రయీమూర్త్యై నమః | - Amma in Trimurti.  Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati. 3 Veda rupini. 3 times Sandhya. (Gayatri, Savitri, Sandhya)

65. ఓం త్రిపుష్కరాయై నమః | - Poshaka. Three states Srishti sthiti Laya – Parvati, Saraswati, Lakshmi, White, Red and Black i.e Satviika, Rajo, Tamasa – Maya swarupam, Rug, Yaja, Sama Veda Lakshmi – Udatha, Anu daatha, Saritha – Veda Mantra. Ida, Pingala, Sushumna.

66. ఓం బ్రహ్మవిష్ణుమహేశాదిజ్ఞాతవ్యార్థవిశేషగాయై నమః | - Amma is the same which Trimurtis prays Parasakthi.  Jagadamba.

67. ఓం నాభౌవహ్నిశిఖాకారాయై నమః | - Like Agni sikha in Nabhi (In Manipura Chakra).

68. ఓం లలాటేచంద్రసన్నిభాయై నమః | - Like Moon light in Lalatam - Aagna

69. ఓం భ్రూమధ్యేభాస్కరాకారాయై నమః | - Like Sun light in Eye brows – Visudhi to Aagna.

70. ఓం హృదిసర్వతారాకృతయే నమః | - Like multi stars light in Hrudayam - Anahatha

71. ఓం కృత్తికాదిభరణ్యంత నక్షత్రేష్ట్యార్చితోదయాయై నమః | - Stars Yagna. Kruthika, Bharani. For Yagna devathas blessings Stars should start with Kruthika to Bharani (First and Last). All good things like Health, Anandam, Aiswryam will come. Even nama chanting will give punyam.

72. ఓం బ్రహ్మనాడ్యై నమః | - Looking like grass and having whole inside. Vedam is Nadi for Amma. Amma is Nadi for Vedam. Veda Lakshmi.

73. ఓం శ్రీమంత్రరాజరాజ్ఞ్యై నమః | - The queen of Sri VidhyA

74. ఓం శ్రీవిద్యాయై నమః | - She who is Sri Vidhyaa

75. ఓం క్షేమకారిణ్యై నమః | - She who blesses us with comfort

76. ఓం త్రిపురాయై నమః | - She is in Three times, Three lokas (Urdhwa, Madhya, paatala). Tripura Sundari (Beautiful) – Tripura Bhairavi (Ugra rupam).  Existing in 3 body forms Sthula, Sushma, Kaarana.  Ida, pingala, Sushumna naadi - main Nadis, Ichcha, Gnaana, Kriya  

77. ఓం మహారాత్ర్యై నమః | - Morning like father. Ratri like mother. Dakshinayanam is called Ratri. Hence mostly Sarad ratris, Sravana, Badra pada, Tuesdays, Ashtami – Lakshmi puja important – these are in Dakshnayanam. Ratri means – giving great sukham. It does not have loukika things. Antarmukha sthiti. Nava Ratris – Nava pranulu. Asweeja Amavasya – Deepavali.

78. ఓం కాళరాత్ర్యై నమః | - Pralaya Kaalam. Avyaktha sthiti. Asweeja Bahula Chaurdasi – Naraka Chaturdasi.

79. ఓం త్రిలోచనాయై నమః | - 3 eyed mother – Gnaathru, Gnaana, Gneya –   Surya, Chandra and Agni as 3 eyes.

80. ఓం స్తంభిన్యై నమః | - From here till next 9 veera namas - how to fight with enemies. The enemy will become like stunned. Cannot do anything. (80-88)

81. ఓం క్షోభిణ్యై నమః | - Makes enemies tense, worried.

82. ఓం మార్యై నమః | - Mariyamma.  Mahammari. Kills in large scale, vigna karini, Sathru samharini. Can pray for the elimination of Bad and evil people who are dishonest and anti-nationals. Nothing wrong. Infact good for society. But it should not be for selfish needs.

83. ఓం భ్రామిణ్యై నమః | - Making illusions. The enemy will get confused, how to use his strategies, weapons.

84. ఓం శత్రుమారిణ్యై నమః | - Kills enemies in different forms. Dharma drohis and dhweshis.

85. ఓం మోహిన్యై నమః | - Enemies will be trapped in moham (Passion, Fascination)

86. ఓం ద్వేషిణ్యై నమః | - Hate towards Adharmam (not for selfish reasons). Not those following Sruthis and Smrithis.

87. ఓం వీరాయై నమః | - Having Heroism. Veera Lakshmi. Different Paths.

88. ఓం అఘోరాయై నమః | - Saantha rupini. Ghora / Aghora both Amma.

89. ఓం సర్వోపద్రవనాశిన్యై నమః | - All Upa Dravams Deva (Nature – Cyclones, floods, Tsunami, Earthquakes etc.), Govt (Excess Tax, Bad rulers), Thief, Health destroy.

90. ఓం అష్టాంగయోగినిదేవ్యై నమః | - Yoga swarupam. For body. 8 parts. Yamams, Niyamams (Living according to Saastras – Satyam, Ahimsa, Atheyam, Soucham), Aaasana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi.

91. ఓం నందికాయై నమః | - Makes Happy.

92. ఓం శాంతాయై నమః | - Peaceful form.

93. ఓం సర్వతోభద్రవాసిన్యై నమః | - From all directions / all ways – protecting. Vasthu. Gnaana Ananda will be there.  Vaikuntham.

94. ఓం హతకందర్పజీవికాయై నమః | - Made alive of dead Manmadha.  

95. ఓం సంపత్తయే నమః | - Gnaanam and Sampada both needed.

96. ఓం సర్వరోగప్రతిక్రియాయై నమః | - Arogya, Health is more important.  Through Mani, Mantra and aushadham can be cured.

97. ఓం జీవలోకైకజీవాతవే నమః | - She who takes care of all lives of this world.

98. ఓం చంద్రహృదయాయై నమః | - She who has a mind like the moon

 

Names Associated with Prosperity (Wealth)

99. ఓం మహాలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - Very Important name as Amma’s name is here as importantly. The mother who sees the world always with care is Lakshmi. Choopula Thalli. Witnesses all the things. If she opens eyes creation, if maintains sthiti, if closes – laya. Lakshmi – Shobha, Kanthi, Kala, Aiswaryam (Sompu, kempu, impu). 

100. ఓం మహాకన్యాయై నమః | - Great woman. Ever new. Not married girl. Daughter/Sister. Great daughter of Sagara or Brughu. From Adya Lakshmi – 3 Twins came – Brahma/Lakshmi, Narayana/Uma, Siva/Saraswati.

101. ఓం భోగవైభవసంధాత్ర్యై నమః | - Bhogam (Happy experiences) and Vaibhavam (different forms of glory) – both will be given.

102. ఓం భక్తానుగ్రహకారిణ్యై నమః | - Shows blessings on the devotees.

103. ఓం కామదాయై నమః | - Fulfils all desires. Burns all desires (adharma).

104. ఓం జయాయై నమః | - Victory. Over war. Janma+Laya from Janma to Laya i.e Janma, sthiti, laya karini.  Jaya Lakshmi

105. ఓం విజయాయై నమః | - The complete and special victories. Jaya, Vijaya Mantra vidya. Vi(Jaya) – One who does not have Jaya i.e one who does not have Janma+Laya i.e Janma to Laya i.e Janma, sthiti, laya. Vijaya Lakshmi

106. ఓం జయంత్యై నమః | - Having Jayam as naturality. One who gives victory. One who provides win over Dharma, ardha, kama, moksha.  Win over external difficulties is Jayam and internal is Vijayam.

107. ఓం అపరాజితాయై నమః | - Does not know defeat. (108+109+110+111) together is a stotram.

108. ఓం సర్వదాయై నమః | - Provider of everything.  Even good or bad, then one will not feel not repent.  Also, one who takes away good or bad.

109. ఓం త్రైలోక్యమోహిన్యై నమః | - One who does Mohini of all the 3 lokas. Moham and Moksham both Amma only.

110. ఓం సర్వభర్త్ర్యై నమః | - One who takes poshaka (Nourish) of all.

111. ఓం దుర్భిక్షధ్వంసినీ దేవ్యై నమః | - Removing draughts.

112. ఓం సర్వసంపన్నాయై నమః | - Rich among all.  All prosperities with her only. Making aiswaryam of each one according to their character.

113. ఓం సర్వదారిద్ర్యభంజిన్యై నమః | - Removes all Daridrams/poverties.

114. ఓం దారిద్ర్యధ్వంసిన్యై నమః |   - Removes all difficulties. Moksha, Gnaana Lakshmi.

115. ఓం సర్వసంపత్తయే నమః | - All properties Amma’s only. Everything in this universe Amma army only.

116. ఓం స్వేష్టదాయిన్యై నమః | - Swa – Ishta – Dayini. Fulfilling the Bhakthas desires.

117. ఓం హేమయై - Gold colour Amma. Golden shining. Represents gold ornaments. Represents always continuous growing.

118. ఓం సుగృహాయై నమః | - Having good House. Trilokas. She is the owner. Vaikuntham. Gruha Lakshmi. House-wife – Illalu. Having Paka, Patra, Gruha sudhi i.e. Cleanliness in Cooked items, House Hold things, House.

119. ఓం సువర్ణదాయై నమః | - Provider of Gold etc. Shining brightness, as a mantra rupini.

120. ఓం సువీరాయై నమః | - Giving good births. Children. Beejarupini.

121. ఓం సుపోషాయై నమః | - Taking good care.

122. ఓం వరహేతుక్యై నమః | - She who is the cause of all boons

123. ఓం లోకానుగ్రహకారిణ్యై నమః | - She who blesses people

124. ఓం సుఖప్రాణిశిరోరేఖాయై నమః | - She who determines the fate of a person living happily

125. ఓం సర్వసాంకర్యదోషఘ్న్యై నమః | - She removes all defects

126. ఓం గ్రహోపద్రవనాశిన్యై నమః | - She who removes problems created by planets

127. ఓం గృహచ్ఛిద్రనివారిణ్యై నమః | - She who removes the problems caused by the movements of the planets

128. ఓం కలిదోషప్రశమన్యై నమః | - She who solves the problems during the Kali age

129. ఓం వసురూపాయై నమః | - She who is the wealth

130. ఓం వసురత్నపరిచ్ఛదాయై నమః | - She who has all the jewels of happiness

131. ఓం ధనధాన్యాభివృద్ధయే నమః | - She who blesses with increased wealth 

132. ఓం సార్వభౌమసుఖోచ్ఛ్రయాయై నమః |- She who blesses with a happy life of an emperor

·         పుత్రపౌత్రాభివృద్ధిశ్చ విద్యాభోగబలాదికమ్ |

133. ఓం పుత్రపౌత్రాభివృద్ధయే నమః | - She who increases the number of sons and grand sons

134. ఓం విద్యాభోగబలాదికాయై నమః |- She who grants knowledge and pleasure 

135. ఓం ఆయురారోగ్యసంపత్తయే నమః | - She who grants long life, health, wealth. 

136. ఓం అష్టైశ్వర్యాయై నమః |- She who grants eight types of wealth

137. ఓం అవ్యాహతమహాభాగ్యాయై నమః | - She who is good luck without any breaks or interruptions

138. ఓం అక్షోభ్యవిక్రమాయై నమః | - She who has a valour that never diminishes or decreases

 

Names Associated with Form (Rupam)

·         పద్మవక్త్రాం పద్మహస్తాం వందే పద్మామహర్నిశమ్ – Blossoming and beautiful like Lotus, Hands like Lotus or having Lotuses in the two upper hands (Lotus – Prosperity, Happiness, Knowledge). Padma/Kamala/Lakshmi – same meaning.

139. ఓం శుభాయై నమః | - Good. Mangalam, Lightening, Samkalpam.

140. ఓం శుద్ధాయై నమః | - Pure not only physically, but mentally also (even though it is polluted). Subhratha and (Madi, Suchi) together is Sudhatha

141. ఓం శుభానందాయై నమః | - Subha+Ananda rupini. Satvika Ananda which leads to Subham. Subha samkalpam. Those who are having Anandam- Lakshmi will be there.

142. ఓం కమలోద్భవాయై నమః | - Originate or seated from Lotus.  Dharma (Implementation), Gnaana (Thought) satvika rupam. Bharathiya pushpam. Hrudaya padmam. It happens in Sahasraaram.

143. ఓం శ్రీకాయాయై నమః | - Kayam – Body. Amma Sri – Soundaryam, Sobha, Kanti, Mangalam. 

144. ఓం తాద్రూప్యగణనాకృతయై నమః | - Chandra like face. Padma like Hands.

146. ఓం త్రివల్యాదిసుపుష్టాంగాయై నమః | - Tri Vali – Neck, waist, Eye brows – 3 wrinkles – this is good saamudrika lakshnam.

147. ఓం మీననేత్రాయై నమః | - She who has eyes shaped like fish

148. ఓం ఇంద్రాక్ష్యై నమః | - She who has 1000 eyes like Indra

149. ఓం విశాలాక్ష్యై నమః | - She who has broad, wide eyes

150. ఓం సుమంగళాయై నమః | - She who has all auspiciousness

151. ఓం హంస్యై నమః | - She who lives in the form of a swan

Amma’s Multiple Names

174. ఓం సిద్ధలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - Successful Result. Being praised by all everywhere as a known Amma. Not new one – already existing. But not attainable easily

175. ఓం క్రియాలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - Trying and doing. Goal-Gamyam (Sidha) and journey-Gamanam is (Kriya). Both Amma.

176. ఓం మోక్షలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - Salvation (Nirvana).

177. ఓం ప్రసాదిన్యై నమః | - Pleasant, peaceful, calmness, merciful. Gnaana Ananda swarupini.

178. ఓం ఐందిర్యై నమః- Indrani. Saptha mathrukalu. For Friday head is Indra. He prays Lakshmi. She has Vajra hastha.

179. ఓం శిఖాయై నమః | - Agni jwala rupini. Narayana is Yagna rupam. Hence Amma is Yagna hrudayam. Hrudaya jwala / light – Amma.  Sikha is mandatory for all castes. Without this one should not pray God. Hrudaya, Sirassu, Sikha, Kavacha, Netra, Akshara Devis - Mantra shadanga devathalu.  

180. ఓం సహస్రాదిత్యసంకాశాయై నమః | - Equivalent 1000 suns light. She herself gives light to all these 1000 suns. Suryarupini.

181. ఓం చంద్రికాయై నమః | - Cooling moon light. Makes pleasant, happy, encouraging. Eda (Left Chandra Naadi) Pingala (Right Surya Naadi).

182. ఓం చంద్రరూపిణ్యై నమః | - Chandra rupini. Chandra Sahodari. Maha Lakshmi came after Moon (Peacefulness). Hence moon is Lakshmi only. Planet Chandra is lady. The heads for this planet are Lakshmi and Gowri. Hence Monday called Sampadkaram. Indra pradanam is Friday.  For wealth Indra and for peace Moon. Amrutham (Moksham) came after Lakshmi. 16^th Kala i.e. Chandra Kala.  Sahasraaram – ultimate stage where peace will get, Amrutha anandam will be experienced.  Moon light gives oshadhis, which provides health, increases ageing.

183. ఓం సర్వదేవనమస్కృతాయై నమః | - Being prayed by all Gods.

184. ఓం కుబేరాక్ష్యై నమః | - One who blessed Kubera.  Some special body or having some special eyes is called Kubera. Having 3 eyes Kuberakshi. 

185. ఓం కరవీరనివాసిన్యై నమః | - Residing in Kolhapur. Dathakshetram. Those who get victory through only hands Lopamudra – Agasya worshiped

186. ఓం సర్వమోహిన్యై నమః | - Attracting the entire world of all pranikotis. Some people in the world have to be in Karma mode to run the world – Amma makes them to be in that mode. Hence, She is same who removes moham also.

187. ఓం ధాత్ర్యై నమః | - Bhudevi. One who bears, takes care of. Go mata. Surabhi.

188. ఓం విశాలాక్ష్యై నమః | - Wide eyes to observe the entire universe. Karunamayee as She looks after widely.  

189. ఓం ఆదిలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - The first Goddess. First Lakshmi. One who takes Bhakthas and blesses them.

190. ఓం వాసవ్యై నమః | - Indrani. Sarva Devathas Sakthi. Another meaning Sarva Ratna rupini. One of the Ashta Vasuvus has come on the earth. His daughter is Vasavi born in Vysya caste. Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari.  Another meaning Since Amma is Vasam to Devathas (place to stay) – She is Vasavi.  For Asuras She ensures no Avasam.

191. ఓం కల్పనాయై నమః | - One who has done Srishti, Sthiti, Laya. Srishti karini. Capable to do. Kalpam.

192. ఓం సీతాయై నమః | - Came from land through ploughing. Ayonija.  Hence equalled as Gnaanam by hardwork. Brahma swarupini.

193. ఓం సత్యాయై నమః | - Satya Bhama.  Truth, Dharmam, Tapassu.

194. ఓం రుక్మిణ్యై నమః | - Shining with Golden colour. Represents Gnaanam, prosperity.

195. ఓం భార్గవ్యై దేవ్యై నమః | - Brughu Maharshi daughter. Shining Go rupam (any Indian Cow is from Kamadhenuvu).

196. ఓం వరరూపిణ్యై నమః | - Vara rupini. Vara Lakshmi.

197. ఓం జగద్ధాత్ర్యై నమః | - For Jagath Mother.

198. ఓం విశ్వనిర్మాణకారిణ్యై నమః | - For construction of Viswam.

199. ఓం శేషవాసుకిసంసేవ్యాయై నమః | - Sesha, Vasuki etc Divya Nagas praying Amma. Naga Manasa Devi.  The snake on which Narayana sleeps or sits is called as Mata Sesha. Kala rupa is also called Seshu. Kala sarpam.  Sarva sakthis Vasam (existence) – Vasuki.

200. ఓం చపలాయై నమః | - Not stable. Aiswaryam can increase or decrease. But Amma stable at Narayana – hence called as Nitya, Sidda, Maha Lakshmi. Hence pray Narayana. That’s why Keep Hari so that Siri also will be there. Lakshmi is going back to Narayana frequently like Mother keeps coming to Children and going back permanently to Husband.

201. ఓం ధాత్రీరూపాయై నమః | - Usirika (Narayana rupam) rupam. That’s why Karthika masa time should be watered to the amla tree and eat there. It is not picnic.

202. ఓం మధుమాసోదయాయై నమః | - One who rises in Chaitra masa – (Vasanta sobha). Chaitra Lakshmi. Chaitra Sudha Navami – Parvathi.

203. ఓం మాధవ్యై నమః | - Madhu swabhavam. Explicited through Madhu vidya. Known through Mounam and Dhyanam. Madhava (Vysakha Lakshmi) masa rupam. – Vasantha ruthuvu. Thus Vasantha Lakshmi.

204. ఓం మేఘగంభీరనిస్వనాయై నమః | - Her Voice is like Cloud which is sweet and gambhira (Profound).

205. ఓం సారస్యై నమః | - She who lives in the sea

206. ఓం మానస్యై నమః | - She who lives in the mind

207. ఓం సిద్ధలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - She who is Lakshmi giving the eight occult powers

208. ఓం మహాకాళ్యై నమః | - She who is the great KALi

209. ఓం మహాలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - She who is the great Lakshmi

210. ఓం యంత్రలక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - She who is Lakshmi of Yanthras

211. ఓం జగల్లక్ష్మ్యై నమః | - She who is Lakshmi of the universe

212. ఓం జగన్మాత్రే నమః | - She who is the mother of the universe

 

Amma’s Other Names

213. ఓం విశ్వంభరాయై నమః | - Bhudevi. She bears Samastham. Not only carrying, but taking care.

214. ఓం ధరాధారాయై నమః | - Even Bhumi also dependant on Amma.  

215. ఓం రాకాయై నమః | - Punnami. Three Full moon names Raaka (clear and fullest moonlight), punnami, Anumathi. Padyami to Raka Thithi devathas. నిండుపున్నమి, సంపూర్ణ కళలుగల చంద్రునితోగూడిన పౌర్ణమి (నిండుపౌర్ణమి)

216. ఓం పూర్ణిమాయై నమః | - Full Moon. Maha is moon’s name.

217. ఓం అనుమత్యై నమః | - If one kala is reduced of 16 Kalas (astrologers only can truly tell). Generally, if it enters in between a day. Hence Sukla Chaturdasi also can be called. Pithru devathas can be prayed. ఒక కళ తక్కువైన చంద్రుడుగల పౌర్ణమి

218. ఓం ద్యుతయే నమః | - Light, Tejassu, - Poornima related only.

219. ఓం అమావాస్యాయై నమః | - No moon day. Na+Ma. No mother. It is not a bad tithi. Kuhu, Amavasya, Cinivaali – These are Amavasya three no moon days.

220. ఓం కుహ్వే నమః | - Amavasya. Fully darkest where you cannot see anything. అంతకుముందు తెల్లవారుఝామున కూడ చంద్రరేఖ కనబడని అమావాస్య

221. ఓం సినీవాల్యై నమః | - No moon day. Very thin Chandra kala exist. Cini (Moon) – Vali (leatha). Krishna Chaurdasi. White beautiful Bala. అంతకుముందు తెల్లవారుఝామున సన్నటి చంద్రరేఖ తూర్పున కనబడు అమావాస్య. Thus, one paksha starts with Kuhu and other with Raaka.

222.  ఓం సముద్రవసనావాసాయై నమః | - Bhudevi. One who wore ocean as a cloth. Forests, minerals, metals etc. In Earth Lakshmi is there. Earth is dependent on Lakshmi.

223. ఓం బ్రహ్మాండశ్రేణిమేఖలాయై నమః | - Brahmanda made (as pearls) vaddanam

224. ఓం తరుణ్యై నమః | - Youthful. Crossed kanyaka.

225. ఓం నార్యై నమః | - Woman. Jaganmata.  Positively controls husband (Narayana) with good qualities and behaviour.

226. ఓం జ్యేష్ఠాదేవ్యై నమః | - Old age stage. With full gnaanam. There is no decay for Her. She is Eldest.  Peddamma. Another meaning (Daridra devatha).  Chinnamma represents Aiswaryam, energetic. Punyathmas will have Siri, Bad people will have Jyeshta devi – Alakshmi – Hunger, thirsty.

227. ఓం విశ్వంభరాధరాయై నమః | - The whole Bhumi. The Shakthi for Bhumi.

228. ఓం మల్లికాయై నమః | - Jasmine. One which can put on head. Which spreads fragrance.  Mother who killed Malludu demon. Magha month. Chaitanyam and Gnaana spreading.

229. ఓం నవమల్లికాయై నమః | - Fresh Jasmine. Another variety of Jasmine. Flowers, Milk, Rice etc are Lakshmi rupam.  Brundavanam – Vrunda Devi, Kethakivanam – Suseela Devi.

230. ఓం కాశ్యప్యై నమః | - Daughters of Kasyapa prajapathi maharshi.  Sun name. Just before sunrise Kasyapa, called as Aditya.  Kasyapi is Tejassu from all Aditya Mandalams.

231. ఓం సహస్రాక్ష్యై నమః | - Having 1000 eyes to observe the viswam.  

232. ఓం సహస్రభుజపాదుకాయై నమః | - Having 1000s of Hands and feet. Also having 1000s of other Indriyas ears, faces etc. Viradrupa. Viswarupa darsanam. Viswa Grahana (Bhuja) and Chalana (Paduka) Sakthi.  Amma is there in everyone’s Eyes, Hands, feet – every one’s Human body.  For each Bhaktha the same Paramathma appears in different Viswarupams (Narayana, Lakshmi, Siva …)

233. ఓం కాంతాయై నమః | - Woman who has good appearance. (Kamaneeya swarupam) and wanted by everyone. Everyone wants Anandam. Ananda swarupini. Ka+Antham – Even can make end to Brahma. One who keeps Viswam under control. Narayana Kantha. Krishna Paksha / Bahula Ekadasi is also called as Kaantha.

234. ఓం భార్గవ్యై నమః | - As per Leela – She is daughter of Brughu maharshi / prajapathi. Wife of Narayana. He is head of Friday along with Indra along with Venus / Sukra graha.  

235. ఓం కోకిలాయై నమః | - Those who hear feel sweet.  (Manassu harana). Veda naadam if listened will be happy. Veda ardham difficult to tell – but Sabdham i.e. sound  is sweet and anyone can appreciate.   

236. ఓం కేతక్యై నమః | - Mogali flower garden – Amma name Kethaki. Exhibits Fragrance. Gnaanarupini.

237. ఓం అశోకాయై నమః | - Removing Sokams. Another meaning - Kusuma flower tree with Red and yellow colour, Good smelling. in Himalayas. Not normal Asoka trees. Will be in Himavath mountains. Sithamma was under this tree. Spreads it smells in all directions. Amma Sarva vyapini. Not having sorrow.  As no agnaanam and no limit and truthfulness. Sachchidananda rupini.  6 Vikaras – Sokam, Kshuth, Pipaasa, Moham, Jara, Maranam. Amma does not have these.

238. ఓం ధరణ్యై నమః | - Bhudevi. Takes care of. Always from birth till death.

239. ఓం ధ్రువాయై నమః | - Never destructible. Srishti system always remain same. Vedam.

240. ఓం అష్టపుత్రాయై నమః | - Having 8 Children.  Ashta Dik palakas.  Indra, Yama, Vayu, Agni, Varuna, Niruthi, Kubera, Eesana. Lakshmi swarupas – Veda Dharmas 8 – Yagnam, Adhyayanam, Daanam, Tapassu, Satyam, Dhyryam, Kshama, Alubddhatha.  Aathma Gunas 8 – Daya, Kshama, Anasuya, Suchi, Anaayasam (utsaaham), Akarpanyam, Alobham, Aspruha (not being tempted). 8 Sampadas – Surya, Chandra, Mahi (Prithvi), Vahni, Vayu, Jala, Aakasa, Deekshita. 8 Aiswaryams – Dhanam, Dhanyam, Putrulu, Jayam, Dhyryam, Ayudha balam, Rajyam, Vaahanam.  Sree suktha – 3 sons as well Rishis - Ananda, Kardama (Earth+ Rain Water), Chikleeta – Aardhratha. Next 5 Kaama, Aakoothi (Samkalpam), Satya, rupa, Anna. Ashta Vasuvulu.  Ekadasa rudruu. Dwadasaadi Adityulu.

241. ఓం అష్టయోగిన్యై నమః | - She who is an expert in the Yoga with eight limbs viz Yama, Niyama, Asana, pranayama, prathyahara, dharana, dhyana and samadhi. Another meaning Even Kubera became richer by praying them. 1) Sur-Sundari 2) Manohara 3) Kankaavathi 4) Kameswari 5) Rati Sundari 6) Pakshini 7) Natini 8) Madhumati Yogini

242. ఓం కాలచక్రస్వరూపిణ్యై నమః | - Amma herself is Kala Chakra rupini. Uchwasa, Niswasa is also a kala chakram. Thus, Kundalini is Kalachakra swarupini.  16 times uchvaswam + 64 times Kumbhakam + 32 times niswasam – 16:64:32 Matras Ratio.  6 Chakras equals to 6 ruthus. Equal to 5 Pancha bhuthas. 6^th Ruthu shows the balance of all bhuthas.

243. ఓం ఆసీనాయై నమః | - Seated form. Badra Chala Sita.

244. ఓం శయానాయై నమః | - Sleeping form. Sesha sayana Narayana, Sri Rangam,

245. ఓం తిష్ఠంత్యై నమః | - Standing form – Kolhapur Maha Lakshmi. Varada Raja swamy

246. ఓం ధావనాయై నమః | - Running form - In Jeevudu in all activities.

247. ఓం సేందురూపాయై నమః | - Chandra rupam. Chadra sister. Hence Chanda Maama.

Devi’s promise to all her devotees

“To those people who sing these 1008 names, I promise that I would be there with them as long as Sun and Moon are there. I will become their mother, take pity on them and I will look after them day and night. For them nothing will be difficult in this world, since due to my grace they would get all that they desire very easily. They will get rid of all their defects and blemishes when they Chant these 1008 names with great devotion and respect.

If this is read on the eighth or the fourteenth or the ninth crescent of the moon, or on a Friday, or a new moon day or a full moon day or on the festival days, or chant it daily, they would get all their desires fulfilled.
